FIRES ARE NOT PERMITTED AT THIS TIME

(We always reserve the right to prohibit fires even when the danger may be deemed moderate, especially if winds are high.  Please use good judgement when starting a campfire in the fire pit during times when fires are permitted.  No unattended fires! When you are done enjoying your campfire - please use multiple buckets of water to make sure your fire is completely out.  Drown it out!! If we see mis-use of fire pits, we will prohibit your use of the fire pit during the remainder of your stay.)

High (Yellow)—Wildfires are likely. Fires in heavy, continuous fuel, such as mature grassland, weed fields, and forest litter, will be difficult to control under windy conditions. Control through direct attack may be difficult but possible, and mop up will be required. Outdoor burning should be restricted to early morning and late evening hours.

High Fire Danger – color code is yellow

• All fine dead fuels ignite readily and fires start easily from any
cause.
• Unattended brush and campfires are likely to escape.
• Fires spread rapidly and short-distance spotting is common.
• High intensity burning may develop on slopes, or in
concentrations of fine fuel.
• Fire may become serious and their control difficult unless they are hit hard and
fast while small.

PLEASE CHECK THIS PAGE BEFORE STARTING ANY FIRE.  CONDITIONS CAN CHANGE MULTIPLE TIMES DURING THE DAY DUE TO CHANGING FIRE/WEATHER CONDITIONS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP IN PREVENTING AN OUT OF CONTROL FIRE.
