Perfect little cabin, very secluded surroundings but easily accessible to all attractions. Very nice on site managers. Great view of crazy horse from a short hike. Will recommend to friends!

Great Deal

These are secluded cabins--away from the main thoroughfare--but located close in to major attractions throughout the Black Hills. The cost is very reasonable and having the extra room of a three bedroom cabin with kitchen and front deck are big pluses.

Homely and affordable

Very affordable, comfortable cabins in close proximity to everything in the Black Hills. Even games for kids in the cabins and lots of space for them to not get "cabin fever". All the amenities of home including little additives in the kitchen and fresh cookies on our arrival - great touch. Very enjoyable stay minutes from town of Custer in a quiet secluded area.

We really enjoyed the cabin. It had everything we needed and we loved sitting on the porch in the evenings, watching the deer. Very close to Custer and the wonderful sites in the Black Hills. We would recommend these accomodations to anyone.

Great stay !!

What a wonderful stay!! We rented 3 of the cabins for the Round Up!! We had friends from Az in other two cabins. Absolutely love the cabins, this is our 3 or maybe 4th time we have stayed. It was our first time with "new" owners Kris and Beth. They were both so very friendly and helpful!! We saw all the sites while we were there and it was nice to be able to come back late afternoon and start a fire and relax!! We would highly recommend Elk Haven...

Elk Haven is the best place to stay while in SD! We went out for our honeymoon, when we arrived there was a rose on the table along with homemade chocolate chip cookies from Beth! These cabins have everything you need. We saved so much money not eating out so we could do more recreational things while there. We will for sure go back! Highly recommend.

Beautiful location and comfy cabin

We had a great time staying in the cabin. It was quiet and peaceful, yet centrally located, about 15 minutes from Crazy Horse Memorial, half an hour from Mt. Rushmore, and 20 minutes from Custer State Park. The cabin had all necessities and the beds were comfy. Saw deer grazing every morning and evening. Beth was friendly and very responsive. Highly recommended!

Fantastic cabin located so close to many activities and sites. I would recommend Elk Haven to anyone visiting the Black Hills. I have three young children who loved seeing deer grazing every morning and were fascinated with exploring the rocky hills behind the cabin. Very clean and the owners were very nice and made sure our stay was great.

Beautiful cabin - wonderful scenery - originally came to SD for the bike rally ended up only going into the events one time - we rode into Montana and Wyoming - absolutely loved it. Custer State Park, Needles Highway, Badlands, Big Horn Mountain, Bear Tooth Pass & Yellowstone - all absolutely beautiful. We loved seeing the wildlife and every morning we were greeted by the deer and Mr. Kitty Cat. Was a trip of a life time and we all can't thank you enough for hospitality!
